It's ART+SOUL time Again!

It's that time once again when I gear up for a wonderful showcase of art and music. I do a lot of various events but ART+SOUL has quickly become my favorite. The last event had over 300 people and we are looking to pull in big numbers once again! What is so fun about this show is that it is a huge team effort. From the performers to the artists to the DJs to the vendors, everyone chips in to make it a success. The best part for people is that it's Free until 11pm so it makes it cheap Saturday night out!See you on March 3!

You should RSVP though if you want to get in free

My Vision For Strictly Social Feb 2012

Really looking forward to this month's edition of my party with DJ Destroyer, Strictly Social, for a number of reasons. For one, it's my first purely electronic show I have done. There will not be any vocalists performing, just producers and beatmakers. And secondly I am re-introducing the B room for the first time really since we had Soul Good rocking Drum&Bass in there. This time, it will be Soulection, an incredible label and brand that I discovered who pretty much embody the Nu-Soul Magazine sound. So the night will be representing some of the best LA has to offer including Brainfeeder, AlphaPup, Plug Research, and Soulection. And of course Nu-Soul! So if all goes well the night will come off like a soulful Low End Theory which I think is the missing link in the LA scene. So excited for this shit!!!!

One Year of Nu-Thursdays at Little Temple Feb 9, 2012

This Thursday February 9 I am celebrating another huge landmark. I have been holding down Thursday nights at Little Temple for a full year! I can't even believe that I did it. It was extremely difficult, rewarding, stressful and beautiful. I would have to say the biggest moment for me was getting to work with N'Dea Davenport!!!
So to celebrate I have another big lineup that will feature Plug Research artist and Erykah Badu collaborator Shafiq Husayn performing alongside his new LA movement that features Jimetta Rose, J. Mitchell, Breezy Lovejoy, and I,Ced. Also on tap are East Coast artists Maimouna Youssef and Gloria Ry'Ann.

You can get tickets for just $8 here:
