Pretty Girl Album Release

Bay Area artist Jimmie Reign is part of a new breed of artists; an
R&B singer/songwriter with mainstream appeal and a sound that
recalls artists like Mary J. Blige, SWV, and Amerie that has chosen to
go the independent route. Blessed with girl next door looks, a talent
for writing killer hooks, and an incredible live singing voice, Jimmie
Reign puts females with bigger names to shame with her set of skills.
She has been building a buzz for years off of the strength of some
well-received singles, a ravenously downloaded mixtape, and an
exceptional live show. Jimmie will be taking the Strictly Social stage
for a second time, this time with a full band and an arsenal of sexy
R&B grooves from her debut album Pretty Girl (out May 25).

LA-based MC Haz Solo is ready to take this stage with his eclectic
style and next level rhymes. His sound is as much rooted in classic soul
as it is in future sounds. Expect razor sharp mc skills, hot beats, and
a dynamic stage show from this extremely talented MC.

The talented vocalist and musician Joonie graces the Strictly Social
stage for the first time to celebrate the release of his debut Acoustic
. Prepare yourself for his smooth stylings, emotional storytelling
and infectious rhythms.

My Date with Tyson Kobie

Through an altogether bizarre twist of fate I won this Dawgpound USA contest for a trip to Blatino Oasis. I really wasn't expecting this at all but nevertheless I won a trip to Palm Springs and a date with Tyson Kobie, a very cute porn star dude. All i did was submit a fantasy that included some of my favorite stars from the DawgPound website and I was selected.

It was a fun experience, although I did not expect to have a camera in my face. The actual date was to take a tram up the side of a mountain a hang out. Ty was really sweet and we had fun joking around with each other. NO, nothing dirty happened so don't ask. But I got a free room and VIP pass out of the deal so I can't complain! And I got to hang out a bit with other guys from the site like Jovonnie and Cornbread. Enjoy this surreal video of my meeting with Tyson Kobie. And check out the pic with me and Cornbread!

Nu-Soul Magazine & Soul Union

in association with Myxmedia, The Mint Collective, & Soul On Beat

Sunday May 30, 2010

Nu-Soul Magazine's monthly Los Angeles-based event Strictly Social
celebrates the start of summer in beautiful San Diego. Join us as we

You can find AFTA-1 eight hours in the future. He’s sitting on a
supernova, shooting down Pluto moons with love; then running back and
laying the track in your lap. Brush the moon dust off your clothes and
plug in your speakers for a shape-shifting, time-collapsing,
body-breaking, heart-merging experience.
With an amazing debut titled Aftathoughts Vol. 1 already under
his belt along with impressive remixes of Esthero, Little Dragon, and
Jessie Boykins, as well as the ravenously downloaded LOVE IS REAL
mixtape series in circulation, Afta-1 is set to blow your mind with his
intergalactic beats and ethereal vibes.

HAVANA Entervention Promo Tour

Southern California’s soulful singer-songwriter Havana has a lot in
common with the flava-filled Caribbean island’s fresh liberation. On her
2005 debut she worked with an assortment of talented producers such as
Nicolay, Symbolic One and Waajeed selling an impressive 18,000 units
(physical & digital) to date. Her upcoming new album Entervention,
which features production by producers like Trackademicks, GB (Sound in
Color), Brook D’Leau (J*Davey) and Beat$treets, celebrates the coming to
grips of Havana’s hard upbringing with her life, using music to express
her experiences and family issues, but never forgetting to have fun
along the way.
